Kanyugo is a lawyer and Junior Research Fellow at SIASIC. He is currently undertaking his Advanced Masters (PIL) specialising in International Criminal Law at Leiden University. His areas of interest are currently within Public International Law i.e., ICL and International Human Rights Protection.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Strathmore University and various certifications in International Criminal Law (Leiden), Public Procurement & Policy (Strathmore), and Privacy, Free Speech & the Media (Pazmany). Kanyugo is also passionate about moot court coaching, research and teaching.
