We are delighted to announce our new partnership with leading Strathmore University (www.strathmore.edu) of Kenya that establishes a mutual collaboration in the areas of research and training.

Luis G Franceschi, Dean at Strathmore University Law School and Olivia Swaak-Goldman, Executive Director of the WJC, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12 April 2018 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Strathmore University is a chartered university based in Nairobi, Kenya. Strathmore started in 1961, as the first multi-racial, multi-religious College by a group of professionals who sought to accelerate racial and religious integration in a segregated pre-independent Kenya. The University is owned by a public charitable trust: the Strathmore Educational Trust.

The MoU will allow joint research between the WJC and Strathmore Law School faculty, as well as the exchange and production of scientific and educational literature. The collaboration includes the organisation of joint programmes and trainings in Eastern and Southern Africa, the Netherlands and other regions. Both institutions will also seek partnering in applying for joint funding for grants and research projects.
